This April, our Classroom Curriculum Coordinator and Instructor Laura Maresciallo was provided the distinct opportunity to present during the American Occupational Therapy Association National Conference in Nashville, TN.
Her study, titled Making it Work: How Families with Children with Special Needs Balance Career and Family Life, explored the strategies, perceptions and meanings of five families’ experiences. Laura and her team were inspired by the lack of “success story” literature available surrounding this topic and wanted to provide alternative, more hopeful narratives for families.
Since her presentation, Laura and her team of researchers have been asked to publish an article in the American Journal of Occupational Therapy. If you're interested in learning more about Laura's study, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
