Susan Viniar, Chairperson - After practicing as a pediatric audiologist and doing strategic planning for major health care manufacturers, Sue left the workplace to raise her four children. She has been actively involved as a community volunteer for 24 years. Sue served boards at Valley Hospital for 15 years and has been actively involved in the Ridgewood Public Schools and the Ridgewood Public Library. Sue has also done fundraising for Duke University and Brown University. An avid equestrian, Sue began riding 10 years ago and now owns two Paint horses.

Mark Berman - Mark is a seasoned trial attorney and appellate litigator at Hartmann Doherty Rosa Berman Bulbilia LLP. After graduating from Columbia Law School, Mark clerked for the Honorable Leonard I. Garth, on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He then worked as a litigation associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York City. Prior to joining HDRB&B, Mark was a partner at Gibbons, P.C., where he served as the firm’s hiring partner and as staffing partner for the Criminal Law Department.

Basil Bruno, MD  - Basil is director of Summit Pediatrics based in Hackensack, NJ and is affiliated with Hackensack University Medical Center. He performs a number of the medical evaluations for Pony Power students, and has encouraged his daughter to volunteer.

Elissa Goldner - Elissa has been riding since she was a child. Currently the owner of two retired Thoroughbred race horses and a Holsteiner jumper, she trains at Top of the Line in Chestnut Ridge, NY. Elissa was a pre-school and kindergarten teacher for many years. She volunteered at Pony Power for a year before joining the staff as an Instructor in 2012 and gaining her PATH International certification in 2013. Pony Power is the ideal place to focus on her twin passions: children and horses.

Michael Jenkins - Mike is an investment banker at Goldman Sachs where he advises individuals, families and organizations with corporate finance and asset management needs.  He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University. Michael resides in Saddle River with his wife and son. Mike feels fortunate to have witnessed the impact Pony Power makes for children with developmental needs, particularly with regard to mental clarity, focus and communication skills.

Jim Napolitano - Jim currently works as a real estate consultant, after retiring from a 33-year career in banking in 2012. Prior to TD Bank’s acquisition of Commerce Bancorp., Mr. Napolitano served as president of Commerce Bank/North. An active member of numerous philanthropic efforts, Mr. Napolitano served as chair of the HackensackUMC Health Network and sat on the board of the hospital’s foundation. He now serves as a trustee of the Bergen County Economic Development Corporation and the Bergen County 200 Club and is a member of the Bergen Community College Foundation Board of Directors. Jim earned a B.S. from Villanova University in economics and an L.L.B. from Seton Hall Law School.

Linda Rosato - Linda is a dedicated supporter of Pony Power who volunteers each week with two of our school groups. She chairs both our Golf Outing and Fall Benefit Horse Show committees and is one of our most active and vocal champions in the Bergen County community.

Dana Spett, MSW - Dana is the founder and executive director of Pony Power Therapies. She has served on the board since its inception. Dana graduated from New York University and went on to get her Master’s in Social Work and practiced in schools. She has been an accomplished equestrian from a young age; taking the initiative to start NYU’s equestrian team, and competing internationally with the intercollegiate show circuit. When not devoting her time to Pony Power, Dana is raising three beautiful girls and training her young horse Bravado.
